Profile/Bio
A native of
Clonoulty, County Tipperary,
Alan O`Dwyer developed a particular interest in drawing & draughtsmanship and initially studied Graphic Design/Illustration at
Waterford Institute of Technology.
Alan worked as a freelance artist combining Illustration, Graphic
Design and painting. This later developed into working as a Renderer/Colour stylist with Moving Still Animation Productions in
Dublin which primarily produced hand-rendered animation films and television commercials for RTE,
Channel 4 and BBC Northern Ireland.
While working in Animation, Alan continued to develop drawing skills
with an emphasis on charcoal portraiture. Following a passion for
painting, Alan attended the Burren College of Art in Co.Clare & the
National College of Art & Design, Dublin, where he received a Degree
in Fine Art (Painting) in 2001.
He currently divides his time between commissions and developing work
for exhibition. |
